Firefox 1.5 and Flashblock - Firefox Extension

When I try to install Flashblock - Firefox Extension in Firefox 1.5 it says to unbox
software installations so I click on edit option and can find nothing about "software
installations". The closest I can find is about installing extensions and themes which is
unchecked!!


HELP !!! Where can I find it ?? Am fairly new to Firefox so please be specific. Where
under options ??

The UI was removed

type in about:config in the location bar
in the window that appears, type xpi into the filter area

look for the entry xpinstall.enabled
double click it to change it to true (its a true/false toggle)

You can now install the Flashblock extension.

While trying to download Flashblock 1.5, a banner says "Software
installation is currently disabled ..."
